The chaos of products oversupply in the market results to the limited consumer’s ability to select what truly likes. Instead the consumer ends up to select products from a narrow selection of products that circulate in the market from multinational companies, established brands or well-advertised products, chasing majorly the savings he can get from them.
Keys to our success are:
TASTE ARTISANS is specialized in the field of alcoholic beverages (wines, spirits, distillery), in the products of the wider agri-food sector and of agri-food in general.
One of the pioneering companies that, over the course of its 35-year history, has played a significant role in the revival of Greek wine and the reestablishment of the Drama region, in Nothern Greece as a prominent wine-producing area.
In the late 1970s, Nicos Lazaridis decided to transform his deep passion for the world of wine into a business venture. Focusing on the Drama region, his place of origin, he drew upon his experiences from Tuscany, where he had resided for a period. He initiated the establishment of vineyards in various locations and, in a pioneering move, launched the first viticultural and winemaking company in the prefecture of Drama in 1987. This initial winery, founded in Drama, remains solely owned by the Nico Lazaridis family.
In his quest for the ideal vineyards within the diverse terroirs of Drama, he selected the Agora community due to its optimal location, unique topography, and rich winemaking heritage. In 1997, he constructed the Château Nico Lazaridi Winery at a strategic site with commanding views of the entire plain and the majestic Mount Pangaio.
Within the winery, the renowned “Magic Mountain” art gallery was established to house and exhibit artworks specially created for this wine label. Moreover, artworks adorn most of the common areas. In 2000, the MAKEDON winery was founded at the base of Mount Pangeon, aiming to showcase the products of the broader Macedonian region and craft contemporary, high-quality wines.
Today, NICO LAZARIDI produces over 1,300,000 bottles of wine annually and exports its products to 21 countries worldwide.
Alexakis Winery, a family owned and run winery, is the largest winery on Crete.
It was founded by Stelios Alexakis, Chemical Engineer – Oenologist, and Sofia Alexaki in the 1970s.
The winery has been collaborating for decades with all the vine-growers of the island, maintaining long-term relationships with them, while being fully aware of all the peculiarities of the Cretan Vineyard.
This knowledge enables them to choose vineyards with a special character for each different variety that we vinify. Based on the quality of the raw material, our work starts in the field.
This privately-owned winery is located in Nea Strantza, on the southeastern slopes of the Vermio mountain, in Central Macedonia, Nothern Greece.
Here, in the heart of “PDO Naoussa” region, at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, the CHRYSOHOU winery produces white, red and rosé wines, unique for their aroma, color, rich taste and loyal fans.
This is a family owned winery, with a winemaking history that dates back to 1948. The company begins with the second generation, Keimis and Betty Chrysochou, in 1977 as they purchase and cultivate vineyards and start building the traditional winery.
The winery produces 15 labels form varieties such as XINOMAVRO, Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Roditis, and a very old unknown local white grape, PRIKNADI, to make their world-famous “Prekniariko” wine.
